How is My Little Hood going to work? (and an Announcement)

Originally published at sandiamesa.wixsite.com on May 19, 2016.

One day, I hope to grow Sandia Mesa into a successful animation business, and that My Little Hood will become a wonderful memory of living in the early 21st century for older teens and young adults. But I’ve been also trying to figure out how will such a crazy idea of animated ponies satirizing and commenting on current events work?

Well, with going into making the first few episodes, I think that I should keep this in mind:

– Put the story and script first before anything else. (I mean, come on! We don’t want another Batman v. Superman!)

– Work with what I have and if something is too expensive to do, just do it a little differently.

– If I had a choice to be either popular or good (and I only could choose one), I would prefer to be good.

– Continuously watch film reviews, so that I can learn from filmmakers who came before and not make the same mistake again.

– Always be willing to grow or change, especially in the structure. (I mean I could always do the same thing for a long time, but then I would end up like Adam Sandler and just be insulting my audience.)

So, anyways, I’ve been thinking about several ways in which you fans can support my work. And I’m planning on opening up a Patreon account soon for this work. This will help us because it will make us able to pay for software, improving the show, possibly getting a new space (or headquarters), and other costs. So if you want this to happen, I encourage you to think about donating to us on Patreon in the near future. Thank you so much!

Question of the week: Do you think we should have our Patreon paid monthly or per video? Let us know in the comments below!

We’re Back!

Originally published at sandiamesa.wixsite.com on May 6, 2016.

Hello once again!

We are officially back from hiatus!

I am totally excited about this upcoming premiere of the first episode of My Little Hood! And no, it will not be around political subject due to the backlash I got on a Trump parody back in February. I apologize to all of you who are disappointed, but I hope you can understand that I don’t want to get into any further trouble around this. Plus, I’m getting real sick of what is going on in the election today, and I’m betting that you are, too.

However, it will be a parody of a movie that is well-known on the internet for being really bad and its creator has a bad reputation. I will not mention what movie I’m going to make fun of yet, but I want you to guess what it will be in the comments below.

I’m hoping to put up some new preview images in the next couple of weeks, a couple more announcements pretty soon, and I will soon announce the release date for the first episode.

So stay tuned for that, and we can’t wait!
